My story

Meet Ember! Ember is a sweet 12-week-old shepherd mix who was found abandoned and all alone. Likely part German Shepherd, she will grow into a large, active dog. True to her breed, Ember is full of energy—she loves to play, play, play and gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats. She’s currently working on her house training, crate training, and leash manners, and she’s learning what good behavior looks like inside the home. Like many puppies her age, Ember is in her teething stage and can be a bit mouthy, so she’ll do best with a family who can guide her with patience and consistency. A shepherd-savvy home is a big plus, as these intelligent dogs thrive on exercise and mental stimulation. Because of her size and energy level, Ember will need a home with a yard where she can run and play—apartments just aren’t the right fit for her. Please also note that some rental homes may have breed restrictions for shepherds. Due to her playful nipping, Ember would be happiest in a home with older children.
