My story

Meet Heidi – Looking for Her Forever Home! Age: 10 months Weight: 4.7 kg (10 lbs) Breed: Mixed Color: Black / White Sex: Spayed Female Height: ~27 cm (shoulder height)   Rescue Story   Heidi was rescued from a city shelter just before euthanasia. She is now safe, healthy, and ready to meet her forever family.   Personality & Temperament   Heidi is a sweet, affectionate little girl who loves to be close to people. She approaches both friends and strangers to rub against them and happily accepts pets. When you call her name or try to pet her, she often flops over to show her belly — she’s a gentle soul with a trusting personality.   She is good with children under 13 and can be picked up safely by slipping an arm under her belly.   Socialization with Dogs   Because of her small size, Heidi can be a little intimidated by large dogs at first and may growl defensively. Once she gets to know them, however, she becomes comfortable and social. She isn’t overly eager to play with new dogs right away, but with familiar friends she enjoys gentle, playful interactions.   If another dog tries to provoke her, she prefers to avoid conflict by growling softly and moving away. High-energy dogs can overwhelm her, so calmer companions suit her best.   Socialization with Cats   Heidi initially showed interest and would run toward cats, sometimes causing them to run away. After a few exposures, she became indifferent. She can coexist peacefully with cats that are dog-friendly and not easily frightened.   Energy Level   Heidi has a moderate energy level but doesn’t require intense exercise. She prefers gentle play and “quiet fun” with canine friends over rough-and-tumble games.   Walking & Outdoor Habits   Heidi is still new to walks and may tremble or freeze when something scares her. However, she trusts her human and will start walking again if given time and gentle encouragement.   Other Behavior • No resource guarding toward people or dogs • Not very food-motivated • No separation anxiety, but may bark or whine briefly when first left alone (settles quickly) • Quiet most of the time • Calm in a kennel Send in your application through our website and make her part of your family! Please also visit our Facebook or Instagram. Currently in Korea – available for adoption overseas (Canada/USA) ##2527299##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Heidi-Adopted!, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
