My story

When Marigold first came to the rescue with her two brothers, she was a very sick little girl who needed lots of medicine to get healthy. Even though her foster struggled to come up with a name, Marigold ended up being the perfect one because she is as resilient and as joyful as her namesake flower. Marigold is a beautiful, spayed, orange swirl girl who gets along with friendly dogs, other cats and would do ok with older, calmer kids. She really needs another kitten, similar in age to play because she is very respectful of other cats not wanting to be her friend, but she gets lonely since her brothers found their forever home. She prefers to play with other kitties or with people best. Marigold is currently eating Iams Kitten Dry and Fancy Feast Gravy Lover’s wet but food is her absolute favorite thing ever. She loves to try and steal food from everyone, including her foster parents before going to eat her own food. Someone might have something better! She likes treats so much she runs to where she gets treats every night and morning and loudly pleads for them when the time has come. Marigold loves to sleep with her foster parents at night and gets incredibly lonely if she is shut in a room away from people. Due to the number of medicines, she had to have as a young kitten, she will let her foster parents hold her like a baby and begin to purr. She is shy of new people as well as loud noises like vacuums so it may take her a little longer to adjust than other kittens. While Marigold is completely healthy and happy, she does have scarring due to conjunctivitis she contracted when she was very young. This has caused her to have one eye that is slightly less open and both eyes to water regularly. It doesn’t cause her pain and her vision is not impacted. Marigold is lovebug and will be a true gift to the family that opens their arms, their hearts and their treat bags to this sweet, caring and gentle baby girl who has stolen her foster family’s heart.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Marigold, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
