Meet Freya! Your future best friend is waiting!Freya is a 42lb friendly and affectionate pup who`s captured hearts at the shelter with her sweet nature and easygoing personality. From the moment you meet her, Freya is all about making connections — she loves being petted and happily accepts attention, even in sensitive areas like her face, tail, and paws. Looking for a playful companion? Freya is quick to engage with toys (especially squeaky ones!) but doesn’t get too rowdy — she keeps playtime light and fun, without any guarding behavior. She`s a gentle soul who enjoys the moment and the company. Freya also shines in the company of other dogs. During her meet-and-greet with a helper pup, she was curious, calm, and social. She matched her new friend’s playful energy, enjoyed sniffing and gentle wrestling, and never felt the need to correct or avoid the interaction. She would likely thrive in a home with another friendly dog. Whether she’s trotting around the yard or leaning into a loving hand, Freya’s gentle heart and friendly spirit make her a perfect fit for a variety of homes.This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff!Be sure to check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
