My story

Meet Chewy! He’s 12+ years old and 4.5lbs. Chewy’s been in the rescue since May 2025 receiving much needed medical care. He just got a clean bill of health and he is ready for adoption. Chewy is a quirky endlessly entertaining little boy. He loves balls! Car rides, short walks, visits to the dog park, cuddling on the couch or just about anything you want to do with him. He is deaf due to past ear infections that were never treated properly. He isn’t on any prescription medications although I do supplement his diet with some optional items. He is not a good option if you like to open feed. He is a very hungry guy and would over eat. He gets along well with other dogs but much prefers human attention. If you can handle all that and want to help out this special Chihuahua, Chewy will not disappoint. He is adorable and sweet. He’s not a huge fan of kids but I think he could warm up over time. He likes most adults and doesn’t seem to favor women over men as some chi’s do. He loves car rides and exploring outside. Also, I would declare him pretty well housebroken (that is if it isn’t raining out or cold ). He currently has easy access to safe outside area and he walks to the door when he needs to go potty. And lastly, he’s super smart!
