My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:Onyx was sleeping on top of the den when approached. He lifted his head for treats and sniffed the assessor's hand. He accepted pets along his head. He jumped off the den for more treats and then accepted more petting along his head and back. He came forward readily and was relaxed and friendly. He tolerated cheek rubs. Onyx was picked up and set back down without issue. He stayed at the front of the kennel meowing. Onyx interacts with the observer and appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. We recommend that he go to a home with an adopter who is well counseled in spraying as a result of not being neutered. A volunteer writes: Onyx politely explained he was late for his appointment and I was making him even later as he tried to leap out over my arm. Onyx is a busy guy with places to go and a forever family to meet. With a strong preference of taking matters into his own paws, Onyx seems to always be prepared to go out and explore in order to find them. We've explained that his forever family will come to him but Onyx charmingly wants to take the lead on this especially if it puts him right in the middle of the action. Though not a fan of dogs, Onyx has been described as someone who loves to be around people, even sleeping by their feet. When you come in and he tells you he's late for his plans, please also remember that Onyx has a big dream but all he wants is to find you. Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 10.5 Age: 1yrs 6mths 2wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Onyx, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
