My story

Meet Caesar – From Uncertainty to Unconditional LoveWhen Caesar first came into our lives, we didn’t know much about his past — only that he’d been through more than his fair share of hard days. But even in those early moments, it was clear: this little guy had a big heart and an even bigger capacity for love. Physically, Caesar has endured more than most. He came to us with a hip issue and had also been hit by a car. He’s been through so much, but you’d never guess it by his sweet demeanor. He’s now healed from surgery and getting stronger every day. While he still doesn’t use his right back leg much, it doesn’t stop him from doing or going wherever he wants — he’s mobile, curious, and determined. He can put weight on it and has been doing so more and more, so with time — and possibly the help of a doggie physical therapist — he may regain more function. The best part? He doesn’t seem to be in any pain anymore. Once he was no longer hurting, a whole new side of Caesar started to shine. He’sbecoming more playful by the day and finds comfort in simple joys — like playing with his favorite toy goose, which he loves to have close by in his kennel. He’s still figuring out the world. Caesar approaches new people with a bit of caution, but it doesn’t take long before he’s leaning in for cuddles and quietly sneaking into your heart. He just wants to be part of a family — yours, maybe? Caesar is food-motivated (did we mention that?), helps with training. He’s already learning `sit` and comes when he`s called. He’s been exploring the backyard on a long lead, as he sometimes seems to search for an escape route — a quiet reminder that he’s still adjusting and learning what `home` really means. He gets along well with other dogs and is curious (but respectful) around cats — even if they’re bigger than him! Twice a day, he dines on wet food, with dry food available throughout the day — a setup he very much approves of. And will ‘puppy dog eye’ you for all the treats you are willing to give him. And when the weather is warm? Caesar can’t resist playing in the sprinkler or chasing water from the hose. It`s one of his favorite ways to enjoy the sunshine. Above all, Caesar craves connection. He’s happiest curled up next to someone who makes him feel safe. For all he’s been through, he remains mellow, loving, and a total cuddler. He’s not just looking for a house to live in — he’s looking for a heart to belong to.Could that be yours? To meet Ceaser fill out the
