My story

*Please note that Meatloaf’s adopter must be someone with vet records showing prior Bulldog experience.* Hello! I'm Meatloaf. I'm a 3-year-old Bulldog, and I would do anything for love (I mean food). I am potty-trained and crate-trained. When it's mealtime, I will run into my crate and sit nicely to get my meals (it's my two favorite times of each day). My foster mom uses my love of treats to get in a little training in every day. So far, I know go potty, crate, come, sit, shake hands (both paws), leave it, out/off and I'm working on lay down and stay. I also know how to stand very nicely for my daily wrinkle & paw cleanings and after I poop, so my foster mom can wipe my butt. I don't mind getting bathed and love a good soapy massage. The dog walker who comes by when foster mom goes to work also says I'm well behaved. I get along with my two foster bulldog siblings, and the three of us like to sunbathe outside daily for short periods of time since we're bulldogs. I started off being a little jumpy and mouthy, but I'm so much calmer now. When my foster siblings don't want to play (they're kind of old), I will grab a chew toy (maybe a few) out of the toy piles to entertain myself. When I'm tired, I'll find a dog bed (I love the doughnut shaped ones) or my crate to take a nap. I sleep well through the evening. I've also been to the homes of my foster mom's friends, and I get along with their pups as well. I love humans, too, and I'm learning they like it when I sit and offer up a handshake to them when I first meet them. So far, I've been around older kids, but not young ones. I love car rides, too, and will jump into the car when the door is opened (sometimes I figure out my way from the back seat to the front so I ride shot gun). I would love to have a home where there are other pups or humans around to play with me. Meatloaf is a male Bulldog with an estimated date of birth of 8/1/22. As of 8/30, he weighs 45 lbs.
