My story

FOSTER LOCATED IN PUEBLO***Staff thinks I will be ready by Late September/ Early October. My foster family says Meet Blackie, the biggest of his litter and full of personality! This handsome tabby boy adores being around people and will happily follow you around, weaving between your feet until he gets the scritches and pets he craves. Outgoing and energetic, Blackie isn’t shy about letting you know when he wants attention—his little meows make it clear he’s ready for love. He’s just as happy snuggling up on your chest for a cuddle as he is tumbling and playing with his sibling along your legs. With his bold spirit and affectionate nature, Blackie is the perfect mix of playful companion and sweet cuddle buddy. You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Shelter staff will contact you when I’m ready to go home with my new family! To place a choice hold, you can either come into the shelter or call us at 719-473-1741; you may wait to speak with a customer service representative or leave a voicemail. Choice holds are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis and only one choice hold can be placed on an animal. Once I am old enough to go home, I will have to be adopted at the shelter without a visit. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to visit while I’m in the foster home as it’s a lot of stress on me to be transported back and forth to the shelter for visits, which makes me more susceptible to getting sick. We want to be healthy for our new life together!
