My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:I am looking for a home with a patient person.I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!I prefer to call the shots and enjoy coming to you when I'm ready for pets.I love to be loved, but on my own terms! Let's brush up on some feline body language together!A volunteer writes: Adam seems to be rightfully confused about everything that's brought her to the Care Center and then doubly confused by Care Center life itself. She was left behind in an apartment and has found herself here, where she wants to say hello but isn't exactly sure what she wants to happen next. When I went to say hello, Adam came out of her den to inspect my hand, even coming forward to sniff, but paused when she realized what might happen next... pets! In lieu of pets, because Adam wasn't sold on neck scritches or chin rubs, we stayed in a sniffing pattern. Shelter life isn't for everyone and Adam seems to be at a loss on how to make this particular turn of events work for her. We're going to be with her every step of the way until she finds you.
