My story

Duncan is a 2-year-old, 60-pound pittie mix with a big ole’ smile. He is the definition of a homebody—he’s happiest lounging in the sunshine, snoozing the day away in his favorite recliner, and enjoying lazy days with his people. Duncan has truly mastered the art of doing nothing as evident by the 20+ hours of sleep his fi collar tracks daily. He’s already housebroken and totally comfortable hanging out in his crate when needed (like if you leave the house to go to work everyday), making him an easygoing companion for anyone looking for their own house hippo. Don’t get us wrong Duncan enjoys chewing on bones or a game of fetch but he isn’t looking for constant action or adventure—he’s looking for a cozy home all by himself with patient people, somebody to give him a chance, and someone who appreciates Duncan for who he is not what he’s not. If you’re searching for a loyal snuggle buddy who’s content just being by your side at home, Duncan might just be your perfect match. We're ideally looking for a pet free home (without breed restrictions) with a fenced in yard. Duncan is on a monthly prescription of Prozac ($22) to be the best version of himself but in the right environment this may not be needed forever. Duncan is UTD on vaccines, kept on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, neutered & microchipped. His adoption fee is $300. If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website and fill out an application. www.thefosterdoghouse.org/adopt

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Duncan, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
