**Note: Woojae is currently in Korea, but will fly to his forever home once adopted. Background Woojae was rescued this summer from a city pound in Wanju, Korea. This sweet boy had spent two long years there, chained in his cell with little comfort or care. Thankfully, he was saved and brought to our boarding house, where he now lives safely with other dogs while waiting for his forever family. He is a Jindo and Samoyed mix. Personality & Socialization Woojae is a friendly, sweet, and loyal boy with a cheerful spirit. He has medium energy—always happy to go for walks or spend time with people, but also content to relax quietly by your side. He is very affectionate with both men and women and loves being close to his humans. At first, Woojae was a little nervous around other dogs, likely because of the isolation he endured while chained. Over time, he has made wonderful progress and now enjoys the company of other dogs. He does well with gentle, well-mannered dogs, but tends to avoid those who are dominant or overly energetic. Behaviour Woojae is well-behaved, obedient, and very smart. He bonds strongly with people and follows their lead with ease. He rides calmly in the car, tolerates bath time, and cooperates well at the vet. He walks nicely on a leash, enjoys outdoor potty breaks, and is quiet indoors. He also loves playing soccer with his human. With a little training and guidance, Woojae will blossom into a wonderful lifelong companion. One important thing to know is that Woojae is skilled at climbing fences. On a few occasions, he jumped over a chain-link fence, went potty on the playground, and then jumped back over to return to us. His adopter must be aware of this tendency and ensure he is always safe and secure outdoors. Health & Diet Woojae is neutered, microchipped, and fully up to date on vaccines. He is dewormed and on monthly parasite prevention. When first rescued, he was treated for anaplasmosis, but he has since made a full recovery. He is healthy, thriving, and ready for his forever home. Woojae eats dry kibble twice a day and has shown no allergies. Ideal Home Woojae will thrive with a family looking for a friendly, loyal, and affectionate companion. He will be happiest in a home where someone is around most of the time and includes him in daily life—he loves to feel like part of the family. Woojae is very smart and learns quickly; with a bit of training, he will become a devoted and loving best friend. Whoever welcomes him into their heart will be very lucky. __________________________________ For more info about the dog, or the adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/woojae/
