My story

Wolfy, Foxy, and Bear – These sweet blind siblings have captured every heart they’ve met. When they were first found, they were in rough shape: malnourished, sick, and unsure even how to eat. With time, care, and love, they’ve blossomed into happy, playful kittens who are ready to show the world just how special they are. These are our amazing blind kittens.  Blind from birth, they are astounding at playing, running and jumping like any other kittens.  They know their names, and they know their foster's voice and come running directly to her when she calls.  The attached video was taken when they had been with us for only a very short time, about 2 weeks.  They are living with and loving small dogs.  They jump up on beds and Wolfy has figured out where the food is kept atop a waist high cabinet and he jumps up there to check it out.  Wolfy has been diagnosed with a liver shunt and must be on lactulose for life.  When it’s med time, Tracy calls him over and he sits down to wait for her to give him his medicine.  Following the vet’s advice, Foxy and Bear had double enucleations on 9/2 and are healing well.  It was determined by 2 vets that Wolfy doesn’t need that.  They explained that when there is a tiny bit of eyeball tissue left in the eye it can cause eye infections.  Both said it’s possible that in later years Wolfy might need that surgery but advised not doing it at this time.  Currently at a foster home in Evergreen.  Complete a cat application at www.eapl.com - once approved you'll be able to meet all available kittens; then choose the one perfect for you.
