My story

🐾 Hey world, I’m Zora – a 4-year-old, 72-pound Shepherd mix with the kind of tri-color coat that makes people say “wow” when they see me! Life threw me a curveball when my family moved to a place that doesn’t allow dogs (seriously, what kind of place doesn’t allow dogs?!). So now I’m here at the shelter, a little confused, but still wagging my tail and hoping my forever family walks through the door any day now. Here’s what you should know: I’m house trained, good with kids, dogs, and even cats (yep, I play well with the whole squad). I already know sit, stay, and down—and maybe even a few secret tricks I’ll show you once we’re best friends. I’m playful, sweet, and honestly just an awesome girl who deserves a home where I’ll be loved forever. Think of me as your furry life coach - I’ll remind you to get outside, to laugh more, and to always accept belly rubs when offered. Come meet me at cage 106, ID 13571 - I promise to give you the best “welcome-home” wiggles you’ve ever seen! ✨ P.S. If you bring treats, I’ll sit like a pro and melt your heart on the spot. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
