My story

A volunteer writes:Sandworm is the sweetest cat and not at all a sandworm(for those who read Dunes)...She is a little gem who went through difficult times but kept a positive outlook on life! Sandy is all excited when she sees a guest opening her door. She jumps down her balcony head bunting  nonstop my hand and purring loudly. She does not mind me putting a bow around her neck to enhance her natural all ebony beauty. She is an active little gal who does not seem to know about play but is all about love. Sandy was in a fire. A good neighbor hosted her and her housemate Beetle Juice for close to three weeks. As she had a very reactive dog, the Good Samaritan had to keep the 2 kitties in their respective carriers 24/7, providing food, water and wee pads for them to relieve themselves. It must have been quite stress generating..Not surprising that Sandy is missing patches of hair on her coat and she will likely need not only a very caring and loving home  but a quiet environment providing her with safety, healthy food(she is quite underweight) and lots of activities to break boredom. Sandy is a good girl sure to make a new family very blessed to have her as a forever best friend! What my friends at ACC say about me:I am looking for a home with a patient person.I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.I prefer to call the shots and enjoy coming to you when I'm ready for pets. Primary Color: Black Weight: 4.34 Age: 5yrs 0mths 1wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Sandworm, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
