My story

Troy is a 2-year-old fawn-colored American Staffordshire Terrier mix with a quiet spirit and the kind of soulful eyes that make you want to sit with him a while. Life hasn’t always shown him kindness, so Troy startles easily and asks for patience. If you move slowly and let him take the first step, you’ll see his walls come down—and then he’s pure putty in your hands: sweet, mushy, and completely endearing.He’s already showing so much progress. With calm reassurance, positive experiences, and the help of tasty treats, Troy is learning to trust. He’s walking nicely on a leash and working with volunteers every day to build his confidence. And here’s a fun secret: call him handsome and he’ll perk right up, as if he knows it’s true.Troy isn’t looking for perfection—just someone who will meet him with patience, kindness, and love.
