My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hey y’all, my name is Thistle but my foster mom calls me Mr. SpicyPants! Like my sister, Primrose (who is also available for adoption), I used to be feral. Don’t worry, though, since I’ve learned to start trusting people and animals, my spice has turned sweet, but the nickname stuck. Although I’m still a little shy at first I do warm up pretty quickly. Since I’ve warmed up to my foster mom, I’m now the first to greet her at the door when she walks in and I’m a purring machine when she scratches my ears and chin.  I’m a more “go than whoa” kinda guy and I’ll play until you make me stop.  I love playing with my sister and the resident cat at my foster home.    My foster mom also has 4 dogs ranging in weight from 20-110lbs and I love rubbing all over them and I even let them groom me.     I think the best home for me would have someone that wants a playful cat that will occasionally chill with them. It would be pretty awesome if you had a playful cat or a dog (that’s gentle with cats) too! Although I’ve never met kids, I think I could eventually adjust to life with kids but it might take me a little bit to warm up to them.
