My story

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org ✨🔮 Meet Merlin – Your Little Wizard of the Heart 🔮✨ This 2-year-old, 10 lb cutie may not have a wand, but he’s already casting spells of sweetness wherever he goes. Merlin came from a hoarding situation where he never knew gentle words or kind pets, but with patience and love, he’s learning that people can be pretty magical too. At first shy, Merlin needs a quiet home where his new family can give him the time and space to work his magic. Once he feels safe, though, he’ll enchant you with his charm—pushing his little nose under your hand for pets, his favorite thing is laying his head in your hand so you can rub under his chin. He follows you like a loyal familiar from room to room, and will curl up beside your desk as you work or beside you on the couch as you relax. His favorite trick? Turning TV time into snuggle time! 🐾✨ 🧙‍♂️ Merlin’s Magical Traits: — Crate trained and doing well with house training — Needs a patient wizard (or muggle!) to teach him leash skills — Best in a quiet, low-traffic home (retired or work-from-home humans preferred) — Startles at loud noises but recovers quickly — Great with other small dogs, cautious but not aggressive with larger ones — Gives cats a sniff, but otherwise ignores them — Probably best with adults or older kids who understand his need for gentle handling Merlin is slowly discovering that soft beds, kind words, and gentle pets are really the cat's meow...err, the dog’s bark (not to mention the ultimate spell for happiness). His playful side is slowly starting to shine through, and before long, he’ll be zooming around like he’s on a broomstick, sprinkling joy everywhere he goes. 👉 Apply to adopt Merlin today at haydudeequine.org — and let this little wizard put a spell on your heart. He's great at casting spells to charm you with his snuggles!💖

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Merlin, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
