My story

    Billie Eilish may not sing pop songs, but she will absolutely steal your heart. This sweet, shy girl was born outside of an elementary school and rescued at 6 months old. At the shelter, she was overlooked—partly because she’s a black cat, and partly because she was so timid that she hid under her bed. Since coming into foster care two months ago, Billie has blossomed. With patience and gentle encouragement, she’s gone from hiding to enjoying lap time and cuddles on the floor. She adores sitting by the window, watching the world go by, and she recently even spent a week quietly keeping three rambunctious kittens company (she wasn’t quite ready to join their games, but she loved being near them). Billie is also learning to enjoy the company of other cats—she now sits near her foster’s resident cat and even chases him around the house! With each passing week, she grows braver and more affectionate. Billie Eilish is looking for a patient forever family who will give her the time she needs to feel safe and loved. Once she trusts you, you’ll discover a gentle, loyal companion who has already come so far from the shy kitten rescued outside a schoolyard.
