My story

"At just 3 months old, Dottie, a Jack Russell Terrier mix, is already turning heads with her one-of-a-kind markings – a sweet little spot on top of her head, a heart on her side, and a whole lot of Snoopy vibes in her expressive eyes. Dottie is still a puppy and learning her way in the world. She’s doing fantastic with house training when kept on a consistent routine, and she happily sleeps in her crate (door open, of course). She adores her stuffed animals, toys, and will never say no to a tasty treat – she’s very food motivated, which makes training extra fun! Because Dottie is timid with people, fast movements, and new situations, she needs a patient adopter who will continue her exposure and training at her pace. She was much braver with foster dog friends around, so we believe she would be best suited in a home with another confident pup to show her the ropes. Like many Jack Russells, Dottie has a big voice – so her forever family should be prepared for a vocal little companion. She’s currently working on obedience basics and leash walking, and with consistency (and snacks) she’ll blossom into a wonderful, well-rounded dog. If you’re ready for a sweet, unique little girl who’s part heart-dog, part Snoopy-double, and 100% love, Dottie might just be your perfect match." Dottie is being fostered in Westminster, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.* You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/dottie/. If you have any questions or would like to adopt Dottie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
