My story

Astro is a darling DSH Abyssinian male born approximately 5/23/2025. Looking for double the love, double the purrs, and double the fun? Meet Astro and Stella - two out-of-this-world kittens ready to launch into their forever home! Astro and his foster sister, Stella, came to NBCR through another rescue group that asked us for help finding them a loving home. They are a bonded pair, so will need a fur-ever home where they can stay together.  Astro is the adventurous explorer of the pair. He’s curious, playful, and always the first to chase after a toy or climb to new heights. With his big personality and endless energy, he’ll keep you laughing and entertained. Stella is the shining star with a softer side. She loves to cuddle, curl up in a cozy spot, and watch the world with her gentle, thoughtful eyes. Don’t be fooled, though—she has her playful streak and adores a good game of chase with her foster brother. Together, these siblings are the perfect balance—bold and sweet, playful and snuggly. They share a special bond and would love to be adopted as a pair so they can continue their adventures side by side. If you’re ready to welcome two little stars into your galaxy, Astro and Stella are waiting to fill your home with love, joy, and endless purrs. "Astrophil and Stella" is an English sonnet sequence by Philip Sidney, probably composed in the 1580s. The name derives from the two Greek words, 'aster' (star) and 'phil' (lover), and the Latin word 'stella' meaning star. Thus Astrophil is the star lover, and Stella is his star.
