*Note: Jelly is looking for his forever home in GTA, ON Background: Jelly is one of the 21 brave dogs rescued from a dog meat farm in Anseong, Korea in spring. He lived with other dogs at our partner boarding house until he left Korea. Currently, Jelly lives in a foster home in Toronto, ON. In this quiet low-rise apartment with a single male, Jelly has been the perfect guest. He is non-destructive, loves his toys, and has shown only the sweetest, most loyal personality. His foster describes him as nothing but a sweetheart: cuddly, gentle, and truly devoted. Personality and Socialization: Jelly earned his sweet name because he truly embodies it. With his loyal, friendly, and affectionate nature, Jelly loves being around his people and will follow them everywhere, keeping a close eye to ensure they are always in sight. He is a huge cuddle bug, loves to shower you with affection, and listens intently when you are talking to him. Jelly can be a little selective with other dogs—he does well with some, but can sometimes be a bit bossy or jealous. He gets along best with gentle, friendly dogs, but truthfully, Jelly is happiest when he can soak up all the love and attention for himself. Behaviours: Jelly is smart and a fast learner. His food motivation and eagerness to please also help greatly with training. He has learned to sit, lie down, and be still while his foster trims his nails. He also knows how to put his chin in a hand and is learning how to smile and hold a treat on the bridge of his nose. Jelly is fully house-trained, easygoing, and quiet indoors. He shows no signs of separation anxiety, rides well in the car, and even takes baths without fuss. On walks, Jelly is wonderful—he doesn’t pull on the leash and follows his human’s lead. It’s so cute to see how gentle and respectful he is when he encounters cats on the streets, or even squirrels and bunnies. He simply observes and carries on. He’s just as relaxed and kind when meeting people during his walks. Health and Diet: Jelly is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on his vaccinations. He takes monthly preventatives for both internal and external parasites and enjoys a diet of kibble twice a day, with no known allergies so far. This healthy boy is ready and eager to find his forever home. Ideal Home: Jelly would do best with someone who has experience with dogs and understands how to communicate with them. He would be happiest as the only dog in the home, where he can receive all the love and won’t feel the need to compete for attention. He would also thrive in a home where people are around more often than not, as he does not like to be separated from his humans for long periods. A perfect match for Jelly would be someone who loves spending quality time with their dog and is excited to continue guiding and learning alongside him. In return, they’ll be rewarded with Jelly’s sweet, loving, and loyal companionship—and his unwavering affection. --------------------------------- For more info about Jelly or the adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/jelly-2/
