My story

Persephone — affectionately known as Miss Stephanie — hasn’t always known love, but the kindness she’s experienced in her foster home has helped her begin to blossom.  She’s discovered the joy of being surrounded by caring people and other dogs, and she’s ready to continue that journey in a forever home of her own. This gentle gal can be shy at first, but once she feels safe, her sweetness and soulful spirit shine through. She absolutely loves the company of other dogs, who give her confidence and help her open up. Stephanie is already falling in love with New England life — she recently had her very first pup cup and snuggled into cozy flannel sheets, and she thought both were the best things ever. She’s looking for a patient, experienced home — one that understands the heart of a shy rescue dog and is willing to give her the time she needs to trust.
