🐶 Meet Chicken! 🐶 ✨ Available for pre-adoption only ✨ Earliest pick-up date: 9/12 (after his neuter is fully healed) 📍 Location: Lexington, SC ⸻ 📋 About Chicken • Age: ~1 year • Breed: Best guess = Chipoo (Chihuahua × Poodle mix) • Weight: 13 lbs • Vetting: ✅ Neutered ✅ Vaccinated (DHPP, rabies, bordetella) ✅ Heartworm negative & on prevention ✅ Flea/tick prevention ✅ Microchipped ⸻ 🐾 Temperament & Personality • Good with: Dogs ✔ | Cats ✔ | Kids ✔ • Not afraid of much! He may bark a little at first, but that’s as bad as it gets. • Slightly food-protective, so we feed him in a crate just to keep mealtimes peaceful. • Loves cuddles, kisses, and following his person everywhere. • Walks nicely on leash. • ⚠️ Off-leash? Forget it! He’s an adventurer and will take off running. • Escape artist skills unlocked: he can climb chain-link fences and has outsmarted e-collars. Harness + supervision is a must! • Very smart boy, motivated by attention and affection more than food. • Enjoys playing with dogs of all sizes. ⸻ 🏡 Home Life • House/crate training: 🟢 Marked at first, but belly bands + neuter seem to have solved it. 🟢 Only two potty accidents early on (likely routine adjustment). 🟢 Settles fine in a crate, but you’ll need to guide him in. ⸻ 💔 Backstory Chicken was dumped at a Dollar Tree and roamed for about 2 weeks with his friend. Locals tried to catch them but had no luck. Animal control was almost called, but thankfully someone stepped in and brought them to us at FBR Rescue. ⸻ 📌 Adoption Info • Application & adoption contract required to ensure the right home. • Message or comment if interested — make sure to mention Chicken’s name (I’m helping rehome several rescues at once). ⸻ ✨ Chicken is a tiny adventurer with a huge heart.
