My story

Meet Sandy! The sweet little girl has a real rags to riches story. She was taken from her mom far too young and grew up in tough conditions, no litter box, no toys, people coming in and out doing illicit activities and even sharing space with a poor little squirrel (hence her name, inspired by Sandy Cheeks from SpongeBob). She bounced around a few places before finally landing with us, where she went to the vet for the very first time in her life. Now, she’s totally thriving! She’s super sweet, ridiculously cute, and full of playful kitten antics. She may need a little time warming up to new feline friends since she didn’t grow up knowing what another cat even was, but she does need a home with another cat to help her continue learning the ropes of cat life and growing into her best self. Sandy is about 6 months old, spayed, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, microchipped, and tested FIV/FeLV negative. She is available at the Waterfront (Homestead) Petco Adoption Center.
