My story

My foster writes:Nunu is a perfect companion. He loves to be with you and simply wants company. He will come to you when he wants to be pet on the head or a back scratch. More than anything he wants to just sit next to you in the living room while making biscuits and taking naps. He'll follow you around the apartment and lay down nearby if you are staying in one spot. He comes when called and meows when hungry. He is extremely curious and notices every sound and smell! He likes to explore and is very well behaved. No cord chewing or destructive behavior. As long as he has a biscuit making blanket he is perfectly content. He is litter trained and likes to stay clean. He doesn't love to be picked up but doesn't tolerate it in short bursts. Nunu is a wonderful loving cat who loves being with people but also values his alone time. He will chill in his cat tree or under the bed on his blanket when he needs some alone time. He will work best in a home with no pets and few people.Nunu is a sweetheart and just wants a stable and loving home. His presence is warm and his eyes are filled with curiosity. Anyone would be lucky to make him their forever pet! What my friends at ACC say about me:The staff think I would do best in a home where there are no dogs.I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.I am looking for a home with a patient person.I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you.A volunteer writes: Hey New York City! I'm Nunu, and have I had a chaotic summer. First, my person passed away, and then I was cared for by a relative who didn't give me much playtime to burn off my natural cat energy. Now I'm at the Care Center, and I'm doing my best to get on with everyone and let potential adopters know that I'm ready for a new forever home. About me, I'm a quiet boy who loves to hang out in the living room and watch all the action in the house. But I also need some active play, so a little time with some toy mice and a cat dancer every day will make me very happy. I'm a litterbox champ, a bit shy with new people, and not much of a fan of dogs. And as you can see from my photo, I'm a handsome, hearty guy (15 pounds!) with the biggest eyes you've ever seen, which I'm hoping to use to my advantage to draw new pet parents to meet me. You can find me in Manhattan on 110th Street. Come on by! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 15.4 Age: 2yrs 1mths 0wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Nunu, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
