My story

Hi, I’m Butters! I might be a little shy when we first meet, but once I know I can trust you, I’ll be your loyal little shadow. I’m house-trained, working on my crate skills, and I walk well on leash—though sometimes I like to stop and take in the world around me. Loud noises, quick movements, and people reaching for my face can make me nervous, so I need someone patient who will go slow with me. I’ve lived alongside other dogs (though I can be a bit barky through barriers), and I’m still unsure about kids and cats. At home, I keep my kennel clean, love my meals, and think there’s nothing better than curling up on a warm lap. Buckle me in for car rides and I’ll happily be your travel buddy—I just need the right person to help me blossom into the sweet, snuggly companion I know I can be!
