My story

Meet Colt – The Gentle Husky Jindo Mix   Basics: • Age: 3 years • Gender: Neutered Male • Breed: Husky–Jindo Mix • Weight: 23.5kg • Height: 57cm (at the shoulder) • Coat: Black/Beige/White   Personality & People Skills   Colt is a friendly, affectionate boy who loves people. He happily approaches strangers and rubs against them for pets, and he’s easy to handle and cuddle once he feels secure. Quick grabs might startle him, but when lifted gently, he allows it with ease. With the people he trusts, he shows his silly and tender side, often rolling over for belly rubs. His food motivation also makes him a great student for training.   Dog Social Skills   Colt is sociable with other dogs, big or similar in size. He enjoys greeting new friends and loves to play, but if other dogs get too pushy, he may back away. Despite his size, he’s a gentle player who tends to “lose on purpose” in games. Smaller dogs sometimes bark at him, and while Colt may bark back, he usually just walks away rather than escalate.   Cats   He hasn’t met cats yet, but he can be tested upon request.   Energy & Exercise   Colt has a medium energy level. He enjoys outdoor activities and walks but knows how to relax quietly afterward.   Walking & Leash Skills   He’s a strong boy and can pull on the leash, but he listens well and follows his handler. Loud noises or sudden movements can make him jump, but he is not an escape risk.   Food & Other Notes • No resource guarding: He shares food and toys without issues. • Very food motivated: watch your snacks, as he may snatch them playfully and run away! • Not a barker indoors, but he’ll bark in play with other dogs. • No separation anxiety. • Calm in a kennel. • Currently potty-trained outdoors.   Colt was rescued from a city shelter where he was at risk of euthanasia.
