Meet Charlie – The Loving Terrier Mix Basics • Age: 3 years • Gender: Neutered Male • Breed: Terrier Mix • Weight: 9kg • Height: 40cm (at the shoulder) • Coat: Black & White   Personality & People Skills   Charlie may seem a little reserved at first, but he’s wonderfully gentle. He doesn’t usually approach strangers on his own, but he allows people to pet him—even from the very first meeting—without resistance. As long as someone doesn’t rush at him suddenly, he remains calm and cooperative. Once he bonds with you, his affectionate side shines through: he loves to cuddle, shows his belly, and happily leans in for attention.   Charlie is highly people-oriented and even gets along well with young children. He’s also very smart—currently he knows sit, wait, high five, and stand—and with treats he picks up new commands quickly.   Dog Social Skills   Charlie is playful and sociable with other dogs. He enjoys meeting both familiar and new friends, though very large or overly boisterous dogs can make him nervous. Still, with gentle big dogs, he plays nicely. He especially enjoys playing with dogs his size or smaller and sometimes barks excitedly to invite others to join in. Playtime is one of his favorite things, and he thrives around canine companions.   Other Animals   Charlie is not just a dog-lover—he’s also friendly with cats and even birds . A true friend to all animals!   Energy & Exercise   With a medium energy level, Charlie enjoys outdoor activities and play, but he also knows how to settle down and relax afterwards.   Walking & Leash Skills   Outside, Charlie gets excited and tends to pull on leash, as he loves to explore. Walks with him are filled with pauses, since sniffing and investigating scents are his priorities. Loud or scary noises may cause him to want to return home, so he’ll need a patient adopter to reassure him during those moments.   Other Notes • No resource guarding: He shares food and toys with both people and dogs. • Rarely barks, except when inviting friends to play. • Calm in a kennel. • Jumps in and out of the car on his own • Prefers outdoor potty breaks and is currently outdoor potty-trained.   Charlie was rescued from a city shelter’s euthanasia list.
