My story

Current Location: Street, MD Meet Chai Chai is a 2-month-old, tri-color mixed breed puppy (about 5 pounds now) with expressive ears, a curly tail, and a whole lot of spunk. She’s expected to be medium-sized when grown, and she’s already proving herself to be an athletic, curious, and adventurous little pup. Energy and Personality Chai is a bundle of energy who loves to play, investigate every new sound, and use her nose to sniff out discoveries. She’s athletic and clever — she’s already mastered climbing to the top of the slide in her kennel, and she’s proud of it. Shorter than her sisters but bursting with personality, Chai has the confidence of a much bigger dog. Training and Behavior This smart girl is highly food and praise motivated, making her a fun student. She’s learning sit, drop, and off, and she’s eager to continue training with her future family. Like any puppy, she sometimes nips, but happily redirects to a chew toy when offered. She’s currently using a litter-box setup for potty time and has started transitioning outside now that she’s had three sets of vaccines. Chai sleeps in a crate with the door open, happily settling in when it’s time to rest. Social Life Chai is wonderfully friendly with people and other dogs. She thrives on interaction, play, and companionship. She’s adventurous but not aloof — she wants to be part of the fun and has plenty of love to give. Best Home Fit Chai will do best in an active home that can provide her with exercise, enrichment, and ongoing training. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, and clever companion who will grow into a loyal and adventurous family member, Chai is your girl. Veterinary Care Examined by a veterinarian for a health certificate Up to date on vaccinations for age (including three distemper shots) Will be spayed when age-appropriate Microchipped On heartworm preventative On flea and tick preventative Received worm and parasite treatments Spay/Neuter at one of our partner veterinarians is included in the adoption fee. Our partner veterinarians are located in Ashland, VA; Fredericksburg, VA; Mechanicsville, VA; Harrisonburg, VA; Manassas, VA; Davidsonville, MD; Waldorf, MD; Columbia, MD; Grasonville, MD; and Jonestown, PA (Cats only)

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Chai , please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
