My story

Stella McCartney is an affectionate, petite, young girl who was found abandoned next to a shopping mall and highway in the Bronx. She ran up to a past adopter/foster and wouldn’t leave his side. They gave her food and she was STARVING! They brought her home and was dubbed “Stella McCartney” after the infamous animal loving couple's daughter. It turned out that Stella not only was already spayed, but she also had a microchip! She’s about 1.5 years old and she’s quite petite. The microchip tracked back to an owner in North Carolina. Apparently they traveled up to the Bronx to visit family sometimes . They had given her to a family member at some point , and sadly , no one wanted her back. She was abandoned and confused, we are INCREDIBLY thankful that Stella ran up to the right person that day who knew they couldn’t leave her there. Stella will have a new beginning with us and is officially up for adoption!!  She is healthy, incredibly affectionate, and playful! Shes really LOVES human connection so much! If humans are around, she wants to be near or next to them. She’s still cautious of her rescuers' two resident cats and may be perfectly content as an only cat for someone who is able to spend time with her. We think she has a bit of bengal in her, she loves enrichment, high places, and has a lot of energy. And she will reward her human with lots of love.  Her trust in her fostering family has grown a lot in the time they have had her. Stella has a good, spirited nature that requires patience as she grows comfortable each day in her surroundings. It’s patience that is rewarded with her loving attention.  Shes now up-to-date on vaccines, tested negative for FIV and FELV.  Email nycatcoal@yahoo.com to inquire or call Joan at  (718) 671-1695September 3, 2025, 9:52 pm
