My story

This dog is part of our shelter outreach program where we take dogs from overcrowded shelters in hopes of finding them a forever home here! We generally do not have much background info on them and cannot guarantee they are housebroken.  They are all up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped.    This sweet 10-year-old terrier mix (16 lbs) has had her world turned upside down after her beloved owner passed away. Despite some medical challenges, Liza is still a spunky, happy little girl..  Liza has facial nerve paralysis on her left side, which makes her look a little unique—her nose tilts to the right, and she can’t blink her left eye. She’ll be having a dental and eye removal surgery soon, but her bloodwork is perfect and she eats like a champ!  She previously lived with other dogs (meet & greets required), and we think she’d do best in a calm home without small children due to her vision impairment. What Liza needs most right now is a soft place to land—a loving home where she can heal and continue to shine. She may be 10, but she’s full of life, spunk, and love to give.
