My story

Pasta is in need of a foster home while he awaits further medical treatment. Foster Reason: Weight gain Foster Time Frame: 1 Week (Recheck 10/02) Foster time frame could be longer depending on future medical results and needs. Foster Care Plan: This sweet boy bloodwork came back normal and has started to eat dry again after recovering from his dental surgery. Our medical team are hoping he will be gaining his weight back now that he is eating dry good again but will need another recheck to make sure. The previous shelter reports this kiddo has FIV. FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) is not highly contagious. It is primarily transmitted between cats through deep bite wounds where saliva from an infected cat enters the bloodstream. As such, it poses minimal risk of transmission to other cats that do not engage in aggressive behavior. The virus is not contagious to humans or non-feline animals.He will have a medical consult upon pickup and the Operation Kindness Foster Team will supply all items necessary for a successful foster journey. Foster to Adopt Program: Pasta is available through our Foster to Adopt program, which allows pets awaiting or undergoing medical treatment to be placed with prospective adopters before they are made available for adoption.
