My story

Meet Rolo!This sour patch kid is about a year old and he's a poodle/yorkie mix. He weighs just under 11lbs but what he lacks in size, he makes up for with personality, attitude, and some very big opinions. Rolo came to us as an owner surrender so he is, understandably, very confused and very nervous because there's a lot going on here! There's a lot of sounds, a lot of smells, a lot of new people and new dogs and it can be a little overwhelming. He's definitely shy at first and can be barky and avoidant until his curiosity gets the better of him and he'll muster up the courage to scurry forward for a sniff. The more time you spend with him, the more he will open up until he's a happy, friendly, smiley guy! He'll most likely never be an extrovert who will jump all over your legs or bounce up to new people without a care in the world but he'll be a sweet little companion!What Rolo does NOT like is the vet. He'll most likely be one of those dogs that needs to be pre-medicated before vet appointments or stressful situations. Rolo does well with cats and we haven't officially tested him with other dogs yet but he would most likely be fine with similar sized dogs. We would prefer older kids just because he's such a nervous nelly and sudden movements/loud noises can spook him. He is EXTREMELY barky. He has A LOT of opinions and they are LOUD so he may not be the best candidate for apartment living or shared walls. He is also not housebroken so you'll need to have the time and patience to put in the effort to train him. Rolo likes walks and chasing balls. He's an active little guy so most likely wouldn't be content with a sedentary lifestyle. He's also part poodle and poodles are VERY smart and need constant mental stimulation to keep them from getting bored so keep that in mind.
