Cautious but full of charm! Meet Chloe, our shy little tortie treasure!Chloe may take her time to come out of her shell, but behind those wide, watchful eyes is a truly sweet soul. With patience, kindness, and a cozy place to call home, this gentle girl has every chance to blossom into the loving companion she’s meant to be.ABOUT CHLOE- In shelter- Chloe might seem reserved in new situations, but it’s really her shyness speaking. With patience and gentle attention, her true sweetness starts to shine through.- She enjoys safe spots like soft cubbys and cat trees, but shouldn`t be allowed to access spaces beneath furniture as it may be difficult to lure her out. It`s important that Chloe feels safe and is in the open to help with her socialization journey.- Chloe is still getting used to affection and may be nervous. She`ll accept pets by hand with encouragement, but may freeze when a hand is presented.- She enjoys gentle scratches with the backscratcher on the top of her head and cheeks and will lean into it after a few moments. She may cringe initially, but with slow movements and soft talking, she will relax.- Chloe isn`t very food motivated, but she enjoys the dry, salmon flavoured treats that volunteers give her after a positive interaction.- Despite being anxious around strangers, Chloe is a gentle girl, and just needs time to open up.- Chloe is a skittish cat who has had minimal experience with humans. - Chloe is currently enrolled in EHS’s socialization program, where dedicated volunteers are working to help her become more comfortable around people. - Chloe is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and up to date on core vaccinations.CHLOE’S IDEAL HOME- Chloe needs patient and understanding adopters who are okay with letting her set the pace as she warms up.- She would love to have access to cozy hideaways (like covered beds, cat trees, or quiet nooks) where she can retreat when she feels unsure.- Chloe needs a low-stress space with humans who can read her body language and respect her boundaries.- She may do well with another gentle cat to show her the ropes. However, her compatibility with dogs and children is unknown to us.- Though Chloe doesn`t need to go to a home with another cat, she has come out of hiding while rooming with her feline friends- A skittish cat will benefit from a calm, quiet environment, preferably without s
