My story

HOW TO ADOPT: This animal is available for adoption by appointment. To schedule a time to meet this animal, please email meetme@arl-iowa.org.---- Is very active for her age, loves fluffy wand toys and will chase small toys and hair ties around her foster home on her own, but is spooked by laser pointers and mechanized cat toys- Loves to "talk" almost all the time, and is very good at communicating what she wants once you understand her- Extremely affectionate and always really happy to see her people when they get home after leaving the house for any extended amount of time- She isn't much of a lap cat but will almost always come and lay on your chest or snuggle between your legs at night when given the opportunity, especially if you're lying under a fluffy blanket- Is a very curious cat who loves to explore her environment and any new things you bring home- She vastly prefers wet food to dry but still likes to graze on dry food throughout the day- Will be happiest in a home without dogs- Really enjoys chin scratches and if she wants more petting, she will tap your hand with her paw, and she loves being brushed- Uses her sisal scratching post well- Prefers not to be picked up- She is on a prescription diet (Royal Canin HP) due to skin dermatitis/food allergies, and will need to remain on that food, or another similar food as prescribed by your veterinarian (more information at ARL) All adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP as appropriate for their age) Primary Color: Black Weight: 10.8 Age: 9yrs 2mths 3wks
