My story

Meet Chip! This sweet, fluffy boy had a tough start in life, but you’d never know it now—he’s thriving, happy, and full of love! Chip is an outgoing pup who would do best in a home with another large dog to romp and play with.Chip was born with a mild congenital condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH). He has been examined by a neurologist, who confirmed that his case is mild and does not require treatment. CH simply means he’s a little wobbly on his feet—but it doesn’t hold him back one bit. In fact, it adds to his unique charm! CH is not a progressive condition, so it will never get worse, and dogs like Chip can live long, joyful lives with just a few simple adaptations.Chip enjoys everything a typical puppy does: playing in the yard, splashing in water, going on walks, and getting unlimited belly rubs. To keep him safe, his future family should provide non-slip surfaces and limit access to stairs or areas where he could fall. Beyond that, he’s just like any other playful pup, ready to be someone’s best friend.Chip is looking for a forever family who will embrace his quirks and celebrate the amazing dog he is. Could that be you? Chip was born in May 2025 and is being fostered in Fort Worth, Texas.OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS, COLORADO, OR PENNSYLVANIA BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information. All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas, Colorado, or Pennsylvania. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc). Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days. If you are interested in adopting, please complete our application:https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/57167/genericNote: MNS reserves the right to deny any application that is deemed unsuitable for the animal. Please be aware that our animal adoptions are NOT on a first come- first serve basis. Our sole purpose is to find the best possible home for the animals that fall under our care. ##2409500##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Chip, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
