My story

Dalinar and Gavilar are two semi-spicy siblings with matching brown tabby coats and equally charming (if slightly mischievous) personalities. At first, they might seem a bit standoffish — they’re still figuring out the whole “humans are friends” thing — but it doesn’t take much to win them over. One good ear scratch, and you'll see their walls start to come down. They’re a little shy when meeting new people, but give them a moment and they’ll reward your patience with headbutts, quiet purrs, and that slow-blink trust only cats can give. Once they’re comfortable, their playful sides shine through — chasing toys, wrestling with each other, and occasionally talking back with some mildly rude meows (don’t worry, they're all bark and no bite). They’ve got a bit of attitude, sure, but it’s mostly for show — like teenagers trying to act tough in front of their friends. Dalinar tends to be the first to investigate something new, while Gavilar hangs back to assess the situation. But don’t let that fool you — they’re both curious, clever, and affectionate once they feel safe. They’re a bonded pair, which means they’ll need to be adopted together. They rely on each other for confidence and comfort, and you’ll often find them curled up together in a cozy nap pile or tag-teaming a toy mouse. Ideal home: A quieter home with patient adopters who are willing to give them the time and space they need to settle in. They’d do well with adults or older children who understand how to go slow with nervous kitties. Once they’re comfortable, they’ll thrive in a calm, loving environment. If you’re looking for a pair of kittens with personality, potential, and a bit of spice, Dalinar and Gavilar just might be your guys.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Gavilar, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
