My story

“Oh, Rhett!”  Can’t you just hear Scarlett saying that?  You immediately conjure up images of Clark Gable, with his handsome smile and that twinkle in his eyes.  Meet this Rhett!  He certainly has his own twinkle.  Simply stunning.  Definitely a leading man.  He has dark rust colored stripes and bengal-like swirls all over his fur.  I can’t stop staring at him.  Like his namesake, this Rhett also embodies Southern charm.  You can find him playing with his six siblings, but he is never the pushy one.  Rhett typically waits his turn.  Maybe a little rebellious when it comes to the wanded toy with the feathers on the end!  All bets are off then!  That is a favorite toy of the litter, for sure.  Be it the cat tower, or the cat condo or the cat hammock, it is a wonderful kitten amusement park.  And definitely amusing for me.  Hours of fun, just watching them play.  Rhett and his six siblings were found 6/1/25 next to their mama, who had passed.  Only about two weeks old, they landed at my foster home the next day.  After many exhausting hours and weeks of bottle feeding these babies, they developed into wonderful, healthy kittens.  Not a sick one in the bunch!  That is a rarity, for sure! All seven kittens greet me at the door to their kitten room.  I have to slowly move my feet to get into the room.  It is always a purr fest in their room!  Do you know what seven purring kittens sound like at mealtime?  When it is snuggle time, Rhett has this adorable habit of raising his front paws up.  You cannot help but swoon over him. This leading man is sure to be a box office draw.  Yes, “Tomorrow is another day.”  But don’t wait until tomorrow.  Rhett may be Gone with the Wind by then!   Rhett is scheduled to be neutered on Tuesday, August 26, and will be ready for his fur-ever home shortly after.  If you are interested in this handsome boy, please contact Critter Calvary Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com, and be sure to mention where you live, city and state. Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.September 2, 2025, 7:54 am
