My story

Emmy is a 3-year-old, 25-pound terrier with a heart full of love just waiting to be shared. This sweet girl may be a little slow to warm up to new people, but once she feels safe and comfortable, her affectionate nature shines through. She adores gentle pets, quiet moments, and cozy cuddles with her favorite humans, making her a loyal and loving companion. Emmy gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would be happy to share her home with a canine friend—but she would also do just fine as an only dog, soaking up all the attention herself. A quiet, stable environment is preferred for Emmy, where she can relax and feel secure without the hustle and bustle of constant activity. Her calm and gentle temperament makes her an easy dog to have around, and she’s already housebroken, which means she’s ready to settle right into her forever home without extra training. She is being fostered in a home in Seguin, TX. She has been fully vetted—spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations—and is on regular flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Emmy recently completed heartworm treatment and is now healthy, ready to enjoy a long and happy life with her future family. While Emmy can be reserved at first, she bonds deeply once trust is established. She would thrive with patient, understanding adopters who value her gentle spirit. In return, she will reward her people with unwavering devotion, a wagging tail, and a warm presence by their side.
