My story

Meet Ray   • Name: Ray • Age: 3 years old • Gender: Male (neutered) • Breed: Jindo–Corgi mix • Color: Brown & White • Weight: 12kg • Height (to shoulder): 38cm   Rescue Story Ray was found wandering alone on a deserted mountain road and taken to a city shelter. Thankfully, he was rescued before his situation could turn worse.   Personality & People Skills   Ray is a social butterfly who loves people—both familiar faces and strangers. He approaches confidently, rubs against people, and enjoys being petted. He’s friendly with men as well, and even children under 13.   Ray is also a little rascal—when he senses someone is about to catch him for something he doesn't like, he turns it into a playful game of “catch me if you can.” He’s quick, clever, and loves to wriggle away just out of reach. Still, he genuinely enjoys affection and attention, and when it comes to cuddles, he’s very cooperative. He even allows being picked up and carried, and once he trusts you, he’ll happily roll over to show his belly.   Dog Socialization   Ray is equally friendly with dogs. He approaches both new and familiar dogs to greet and invite them to play. He gets along well with larger dogs and dogs his own size, and usually ignores smaller dogs.   While he generally coexists well with other dogs, he may become persistent if he meets a dominant male—following and marking wherever the dog has been. If challenged by another dog, Ray may retaliate, so first introductions with unfamiliar dogs should be done carefully. Overall, he prefers exploring and sniffing around on his own rather than constant play with dogs.   Cats   On walks, Ray shows excitement and wants to chase when he sees cats. A home with cats may be possible but should be tested carefully first.   Energy Level   Ray has a moderate energy level. He enjoys outdoor activities and adventures, but after a good outing he settles down calmly. Because he loves going outside so much, an active home would be more suitable than a very quiet one.   Walking Skills   Ray used to pull on the leash at first, but with training he now walks nicely, stopping and moving with his handler’s signals. He has plenty of walking experience and truly enjoys his daily walks.   Other Notes • Food: No resource guarding with people or dogs. • Separation: No separation anxiety, though he may whine briefly when first put in a kennel. • Barking: Rare—only occasional demand barking when he wants something. • House-training: 100% outdoor potty trained. • Marking: Responds strongly to other male dogs’ markings, so if adopted into a home with another male, marking indoors could occur. Ray is a cheerful, affectionate boy who loves people, enjoys walks, and would thrive in a home that can match his playful, outdoorsy spirit. If you’re interested in giving Ray his forever home, send in your application through our website! Please also check out his post on our Facebook or Instagram. Currently in South Korea, available for adoption in Canada or the US/ ##2507595##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Ray, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
