My story

Meet Pugsley Addams!! This sweet 22 lb pug was found wandering alone on a bike path in Taft with no collar, tag, or microchip. Sadly, nobody claimed him. Now safe at Shelter Hope, his happy, affectionate nature has been impossible to miss from the moment he arrived. This boy is all smiles!! Full of classic pug energy, Pugsley is a spirited goofball who loves pets, snuggles, and being carried like the big baby he is. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and kids, and especially loves men. He also seems potty trained. He loves going on adventures, always excited for playtime and running around in the backyard. Pugsley is quite the jumper, so he will need a home with a tall, secure fence to keep his adventures safe. Now neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, Pugsley Addams is ready to bring his big personality and even bigger heart to a forever family!! ------ Looking to Adopt? Submit a Rescue Questionnaire! Adoptions can happen quickly so be prepared for our call, only apply for dogs that every family member in the home wants, and wait to apply until you return from your vacation. Please Keep in Mind: Due to high demand, especially for popular dogs, not all applicants will be contacted. Moreover, we may not reach out if we have already approved a family to adopt.
