My story

Happy Cabbage is a 4-year-old, 37-pound petite pup with the brightest smile and a cheerful personality to match her name! She’s a super happy, adorable little girl and a pure delight! She engages with her handler, walks well on leash, is food motivated, and knows “sit.” She may even put her front paws on your lap for some pets and hugs if you let her. Happy Cabbage is a sweetheart with a big grin to match! She is the perfect size, perfect energy level, perfect cuddly level, and overall just perfect. Happy Cabbage had a blast on her Dog’s Day Out adventure with a volunteer! She hopped right into the car and rode calmly, proving to be an excellent passenger. This smart girl is very food motivated, which made practicing her “sit” a breeze—she did it consistently and happily. Out on the trails, Happy Cabbage showed off two sides of her personality: she loved running with her volunteer friend, but was also content to walk politely on leash, staying close by while sniffing everything in sight. She showed no dog reactivity along the way and was the perfect walking companion.Of course, no outing would be complete without a pup cup, which she devoured with the sweetest enthusiasm. She later got to explore the Hopkins campus, where she cuddled with her volunteer and happily greeted every person who passed by. While she wasn’t particularly interested in toys, she loved running around and playing with people instead. To top it all off, she had no accidents indoors—even after drinking lots of water—so she seems to be housebroken.Happy Cabbage has met other dog pals at BARCS, and she does best with gentle dog pals. She may need to meet any doggie roommates to make sure they are a good match.Happy Cabbage is a loving, fun companion who’s just as excited to run beside you as she is to snuggle after. Come down to BARCS and meet Happy Cabbage!
