My story

FRUIT BAT - 1-5 years old, 40 pounds, nervous but will warm up to you, dog tolerant   Fruit Bat is a sweet young hound who came to VBACAC as a stray.   She is very nervous but given time and space, she will warm up to you.   In new surroundings, she is def scared and prob should not be left alone in a yard as she can jump and might try to escape.   We had her in playgroup and this silly creative girl ended up jumping on one of our barrels in the yard and jumped over the high fence. Luckily, she didn't run but instead stood there seemingly curious as to how and why she was on the opposite side of the fence as the other dogs. LOL   Just to be safe, she should be monitored while outside.     We don't know her background but we do see a happy active pup who loves to run. She was fine with other dogs as long as they didn't try to grab her or play rough. Running and chasing was fine.   Fruit Bat is slowly warming up to us, one by one. She allowed me to pet her and hang with her in the yard with her at my side.    That's what we know about her so far!  We will update when we learn more.   Fruit Bat is currently in a back kennel so if you don't see her when you come in, please just ask.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 9, 2025, 9:36 am
