My story

Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌺 Aloha, world — I’m MaKena! 🌺 In Hawaii my name means “the happy one” (and trust me, my tail agrees) or “born of fire” (which also works because, well, I’ve got a lot of sass and sparkle). Basically, I’m a 6-month-old bundle of wiggles, kisses, and wet pawprints just waiting for my forever family! Here’s the scoop on me: ✨ Cute as a button — like, stop-scrolling level cute. ✨ Sweet as sugar, but with a silly streak a mile wide. ✨ Pro snuggler, pro zoomie, pro puddle-splashing goofball. ✨ Water = life. Kiddie pool, puddle, river… if it splashes, I’m IN IT. My hobbies include: - Crashing into the kiddie pool like it’s my personal water park. - Shadowing my humans everywhere (bathroom breaks included, you’re welcome). - Making you laugh until your cheeks hurt. - Giving kisses that should probably come with a warning label. I love other dogs, I love people (big, small, tall, tiny), and while I haven’t met any cats yet, I’m a pretty happy-go-lucky gal, so with the right intro, I’d probably do just fine. Mom was a 45 lb Lab mix, Dad was… well, let’s just say he was a smooth-talking traveling salespup passing through town. So I’ll most likely land right around mom’s size — the perfect medium adventure buddy. At this age, I’m basically a soft ball of clay — smart, playful, and ready to learn.
