My story

Meet Callie, a stunning calico beauty with a story that tugs at the heart .  Callie came to our shelter after her owner passed away, and while she is safe with us now, she is still adjusting to all the changes in her world. Her late owner showed love through food, and as a result, Callie is quite overweight. She will need a caring adopter who can help her get back to a healthy size with patience, gentle encouragement, and a balanced diet. Callie is still a little timid and doesn’t immediately trust everyone—but with quiet kindness, soft voices, and a few tasty treats, she is slowly coming out of her shell with our volunteers. Once she feels safe, you’ll see glimpses of her sweet personality begin to shine through. She is looking for a special person who understands that healing takes time—someone who will offer her the love, stability, and guidance she needs to thrive again. In return, Callie has so much love to give, and she deserves the chance to live out her years in a home where she feels safe and cherished.
