My story

To know Jack is to love him. You could not ask for a sweeter gentler kinder boy. He is part Jack Russell we believe. He’s about eight years old. He has a badly broken jaw in his past, but it does not affect him other than give him some very unique features. It’s part of what makes him adorable. Jack would make a wonderful companion for someone who wants a loyal dog to sit by their side. He rarely barks and causes no trouble. He would prefer to be an only dog as he does not enjoy sharing his meals. Other than that, he would be fine with another dog as long as they were separated for meal time. We do not know much of Jax history except that at some point he was badly injured which at minimum included his jaw and his left eye. Apparently no one took any action to get medical care for him. Now it is too late, but he has learned to live with it and eats just like any other dog. Would you be the person to give Jack a chance? You would be repaid generously with his love and affection. Jack may need a little bit of work in a new environment with house training. We will supply you with belly bands, and any support needed to help with this transition and training. We are working with him here as well. Jack’s adoption fee is $150. This fee includes at least one health exam at our veterinarian while in our care, altering, all vaccinations including rabies (as permitted by age), a pre-adoption professional grooming and a microchip with lifetime membership that never will cost you a fee. All dogs also leave with a new collar and or harness and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble that is being fed at the rescue. Adoption fees also allow us the ability to put funds towards the next homeless or unwanted dog in need of rescue! If you would like to be considered to for this adoption or any of our amazing rescues, please fill out the application with the help of this link. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/AZST/Dog. We review each application carefully. Please understand that sometimes we get numerous applications for specific dogs and as a volunteer-based rescue, we do not always have the time to respond to each one. We do our best to choose the most suitable home for each dog based on their specific personality and needs. Please note you MAY NOT be contacted for up to 10 days to schedule a meet and greet if your family is the most suitable for this rescue dog. Regrettably, we do not have the manpower currently to contact all applicants. We keep ALL applications in our database so please feel free to contact us when you see another dog of interest. We appreciate all applicants and do our best to pair every dog and family for a successful and happy life.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Jack, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
