My story

I’m Homer, one of the adorable Basset/Dachshund puppies from South Carolina. Our mom was a Basset Hound, and our dad was a Dachshund. We were fostered on a farm where we encountered children of all ages, as well as horses, ducks, chickens, geese, cats, and other dogs! We thrived in this environment and loved interacting with everyone, human and animal alike. We did great with the vet, we travel well in the car, and we have started to learn crate training. Because of our Dachshund dad, we are not expected to be huge – we are all about 14 pounds right now. And we have the silkiest ears!
