He was found as a stray, and a kind family took him in, made sure he was neutered, brought up to date on vaccines and preventions and gave him the care he needed. Now, he’s ready to find his forever family through Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue. Wesley loves everyone he meets and has a big, goofy personality! He’s a little clumsy and doesn’t quite realize how big he is, so while he means no harm, he could easily knock over small children. He enjoys the company of other dogs with proper introductions and hasn’t been tested with cats yet. This boy is full of energy and would thrive with an active family who can keep up with him. Multiple walks a day, playtime, or a large yard to run around in would make him one happy pup. Wesley is also very food-motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. With the right family, Wesley will blossom into the loyal, loving companion he’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate dog who will bring endless joy to your life, Wesley might just be the one! Wesley is just over 1 year old and weighs just under 40lbs. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, up to date shots, Microchip, Alabama Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. Please be advised that our volunteers are busy rescuing, transporting, and caring for our animals. We will respond to your application as soon as possible. Upon review of your application, the rescue in AL will contact you, so you can ask any specific questions that you may have. NOTE: All Paws of Dixie animals are located in AL foster homes. They will be transported north after adoption. If there is more than one decision maker in the home, all of them should be in agreement. We DO NOT adopt to anyone under the age of 21
