My story

Hi there, I’m Mick! I’m a 5month old, 46lb chill and laid-back kind of guy. Now, don’t get me wrong—that doesn’t mean I can’t totally kick it in a playgroup and keep up with the energy of my dog & human buddies! I just also appreciate taking things slow, stopping to smell the flowers, gettin’ all my snoozes in and such. My previous foster family says I was a perfect gentleman aside from a couple of accidents in the house—but hey, even though my cool and collected exterior might fool you at first, I’m still technically a baby, so all I need is a patient and loving teacher to show me the ropes of this house-training thing. I think I’ve got it in the bag! I also walk on leash like a pro, and I know how to be polite to passersby when I`m out and about in the world. I`m looking for the perfect home where I can bring the music and joy into someone`s life. Whether it’s a multiple dog household, or I’m the star of the show, we can totally rock out together. You can meet our adoptable animals at any time during open hours. In addition to our main shelter at 1855 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626, you can also meet adoptable dogs at our satellite location, the Red Poppy Adoptique, located at 110 W L Walden Dr, Georgetown, TX 78626. Try our Doggy Day Out program! Take one of our pups on an adventure for a few hours—giving them a much-needed break from the shelter while you enjoy some quality time. The program runs at both locations daily starting at noon. We always welcome your dogs to come and meet our dogs, too! We’ll see you soon at either location!
